Serious Klein – Bless You For Loving Me

Bless You For Loving Me is a deeply personal film created in collaboration with artist Serious Klein, an ode to those who stood by him through times of darkness and hardship. The film explores vulnerability, anxiety and the ongoing process of healing. Moving from inner turmoil towards acceptance and reconciliation, it becomes a form of artistic catharsis, reflecting the importance of allowing oneself to open up and confront personal struggles. Together, we translated these emotions into a series of subtle, moving photographs, leaving space for the intimate poetry of Maame Marion, whose words offer the perspective of someone close to him. Shot entirely on 16mm, the film embraces the medium’s inherent texture and imperfection, creating an honest, deeply human portrait of vulnerability and the never-ending journey of healing.
