Herbert Grönemeyer – Flieg / Demo

For Herbert Grönemeyer’s FLIEG and DEMO, the first two singles from his album VON ALLEM ANDERS, we developed a visual concept exploring the fragile boundaries between staged fiction and unfiltered reality, between the traditional music video and the immediacy of a live performance. We created a narrative that deliberately challenges the conventions of music videos. Moving between carefully constructed scenes, behind-the-scenes moments and direct encounters with the camera, the films gradually expose their own making, leaving us questioning what is real and what is staged. While both videos establish their own distinct visual identities, they also introduce a larger narrative that gradually connects the world of cinematic fiction with the raw authenticity of the stage, blurring the lines between performance, documentary and reality.
